Initial Research

Ready for your first lesson next week I would like you to have some outline ideas for your research topic.  This should not be a finalised question but something we can discuss.

You now need to start collecting articles clips anything you can find in the wider context to help focus your research.  Please ensure all posts have some annotation (why did you choose this clip how does it aid your idea)

In order to help you have a look down the links on the right of this post from some of last years students.

Go and read this months Sight and Sound and Empire to get some ideas ask Oli and Sophie to look in the back copies of both that are kept in the editing Suite

New SSRP 2014/15

This will be the blog that yours will all link from so I can supervise and keep an eye on your progress.

The SSRP is a very enjoyable piece of work so it is vital that you choose an area that you are interested in.  See the advice booklet for ideas on what to study.

So its Oscars time again and once again we will be doing our class vote, have a look at the Empire site for a full view........here

On wednesday we are going to feedback about Fight Club so in the mean time why no make some notes on what you thought about the film ?

Fight Club

As you know we are now starting our close study module on Fight Club.  It is vital you bring your notes on the film to each lesson. I will start the screening on Friday after we have done our Secret Santas.  If you did forget your please remember to bring it in on Friday

The deadline is Friday 19th December at break or before in the Editing Suite.
Ensure that you tick your name off on the sheet
You need to hand in

1            Catalogue
2            Presentation Script
3            Illustrative Slides
4            DVD of your clips

All documents handed in must follow the correct format as detailed in the exemplar material on Moodle and in the booklet.

Final Deadline for all elements of the SSRP is Friday 19^th December in the lesson or before.  It is vital that you see me with you re-written script if you deem it necessary.

You will need to hand in your catalogue script and DVD

Make sure you update your coversheet ready for me to store a digital copy instructions are on email and on Moodle on the SSRP section of the site
