3            Illustrative Slides
4            DVD of your clips

All documents handed in must follow the correct format as detailed in the exemplar material on Moodle and in the booklet.

Hand In

Final Deadline for all elements of the SSRP is Friday 19^th December in the lesson or before.  It is vital that you see me with you re-written script if you deem it necessary.

You will need to hand in your catalogue script and DVD

Coversheets

Make sure you update your coversheet ready for me to store a digital copy instructions are on email and on Moodle on the SSRP section of the site

Any problems see me

I need all students to attend Fridays lesson as we are missing Wednesdays
You will need to have

Completed Catalogue
Draft Presentation Script to include
Evidence of Textual Analysis
Minimum of two references to catalogue (quotes on each slide)
Good understanding of the destination of your research
Illustrative slides should now also be completed

Those students presenting on 20th need to have their scripts to me on Wednesday 13th

Update

All catalogues should have been checked by me ready for Friday if not you need to submit one to me.

Wednesdays lesson we will be in the library for a session on research meet me there

Remember that you now have two weeks in which to get your draft catalog to me.  Next week I want to start collecting and discussing your slide titles.  In order to do this I will split the group in two so I have time to see all of you 1:1 during the period.

Slightly concerned at the lack of researching especially the lazy review collecting Empire is written by Fanboys I want S&S.....I am aware the some are not available however some of you really need to up your workrate

Remember by Friday I need an electronic version of your proposal.

Very concerned by some of the blogs there is very little evidence of any  work some have not been updated sine July.  The external needs to see evidence of progress for some of you there is none !

I recommend you now start planning your presentation this will illustrate gaps in your research.  Make sure you follow the presentation conventions available in your booklet and on Moodle

Welcome back everyone.  Can you please make sure that your blog is updated asap.  I will be going through them over the course of this week.

So what did you see over the Summer? We need to get your proposals off to the moderator soon so make sure you have all your preparative work done.  Have you started your catalogue in word?  Does it follow the expected conventions? Have you watched your films and taken notes focusing on your area of interest?

Research Proposals

Research Proposals due in this week
Can you all make sure that your blogs are kept up to date start to gather reviews of your films and keep that blog updated.

Progress

I am a little concerned at the lack of progress on some of the blogs.  From Monday 6th you need to submit your research proposal to me.  I know some of you are considering two titles that is fine just add some rationale that includes both research proposals.

It is vital that you keep the blogs up to date as these will become an excellent resource for your study.  I suggest you start to keep a record of all sources you have looked at as a Word Doc this willl then become your catalogue.  A good place to start is to gather reviews of your  films.

It's currently the second-biggest single film market in the world; by the end of the decade it's expected to be number one. Arguably, there's a nice rebalancing here: Hollywood looking beyond the West and becoming more inclusive around the globe. The problem is that China has an authoritarian government with an enthusiasm for censorship and propaganda - and Hollywood's beginning to adopt their attitude with a little too much enthusiasm...
